A Rat’s Tale
3rd July-17th October 2010
A Rat’s Tale. Warning! It’s contagious! The village graveyard is heaving with excited fans as the people of Woodston jostle to see the final showdown between their wrestling heroes, Man Mountain and The Plough. As the crowd roars its support, an inconspicuous ship slips into Weymouth harbour carrying a lethal cargo.
Join Shanty Theatre Company this year for a hysterically historical musical tale of plague, pestilence and puns. Never has the Black Death been so funny.
At Weymouth Old Town Hall as part of the Spirit of the Sea festival
“It is always a delight when excellence exceeds expectation, when a small company does bigger things than seem possible”
The Stage
“Full of wit, song, romance, jealousy and invention”
Blackmore Vale
“…who’d have thought such a macabre subject could be so funny?”
